About the role

  • Intern role supporting electric engineering strategy at PG&E while gaining exposure to asset management practices. Collaborating with teams to improve performance and reliability of electric distribution assets.

Responsibilities

  • Involve in developing proactive solutions under senior engineer’s guidance.
  • Expose to asset risk management approaches and theories.
  • Assist in managing and improving performance of electric distribution assets.
  • Analyze outages caused by distribution overhead equipment failures.
  • Update and manage asset management databases.

Requirements

  • Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil, Mechanical or other Engineering degree.
  • Basic knowledge in engineering research and testing concepts, theories, practices, methods, techniques.
  • Basic investigative skills.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good organizational and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Collaboration and teamwork.
  • Comfortable with computers: familiar with MS Outlook, Work, Excel and PowerPoint.
