About the role

Responsibilities
- Development of a software-based intercom system using a modern Kotlin stack
- Development and maintenance of complex microservices built with Kotlin
- Designing and optimizing PostgreSQL databases for reliability and scalability
- Collaboration in an agile development environment with frontend and other teams
- Active participation in architectural decisions and implementation of principles such as Domain-Driven Design and Functional Programming
- Proactive cooperation with cross-functional teams to scale systems and optimize performance
- Development of audio mixing and transcoding components for real-time communication
- Writing unit tests and close collaboration with the Automated Testing team to ensure software quality
Requirements
- Several years of experience developing with Kotlin, particularly building and operating backend services
- Proficient with SQL and relational database schemas
- Experience with distributed systems and functional programming principles
- Familiarity with containerized architectures
- Basic knowledge of Rust or C++
- Experience with media technologies such as WebRTC, AES67, or Opus
- Fluent English for communication in an international team – German is a plus.
