About the role

  • Co-op Systems Engineer at Insulet working on medical device product development. Collaborating with teams on design control processes and product safety documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Work cross-functionally to meet project deliverables throughout product lifecycle including FDA and international clearance or commercial release.
  • Participate in product design, technical reviews, and triage brainstorming sessions.
  • Develop requirements and risk documentation to ensure product safety and effectiveness.
  • Partner with seasoned Systems Engineers on testing the product, identifying bugs, troubleshooting design issues and methods of improvement.
  • Participate in engineering evaluations & data analysis reviews.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited BS program in biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, chemical engineering, or relevant engineering program
  • 3.0 GPA or higher
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment with a passion for continuous learning
  • Hands-on and inquisitive, not afraid to challenge a design
  • Passionate about improving the lives of others
  • Technical writing ability
  • Experience with lab equipment (testing)
  • Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Effective communication skills
  • Must display maturity and a high level of professionalism; exhibits dependability.
