About the role

  • Program Mission Assurance Engineer for Northrop Grumman ensuring technical requirements integration and collaborating on quality standards. Overseeing program risks, conducting quality reviews, and analyzing testing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Interprets customer technical and Mission Assurance requirements
  • Ensures these requirements are integrated into program plans, specifications and product drawings
  • Provides support and direction to other Program Mission Assurance Engineers
  • Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place
  • Performs oversight and monitoring of program risks and opportunities
  • Assists in the performance of independent quality reviews to ensure compliance with contractual and customer requirements
  • Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms, and equipment
  • Conducts quality assurance tests; performs statistical analysis to assess the cost and responsibility for products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications
  • Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction assuring process and product quality
  • Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements
  • Represents Mission Assurance at different review boards including Configuration Control Board (CCB), Corrective Action Board (CAB), & Material Review Board (MRB)
  • Provides oversight in discrepancy review, failure investigations, as well as cause and corrective action determinations

Requirements

  • 8 Years of relevant experience with a completed Bachelor's degree
  • 6 Years of relevant experience with a completed Master's degree
  • 4 Years of relevant experience with a completed PhD
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance required at the time of application
  • Experience working with external mission partners throughout lifecycle of program
  • Experience on Space systems programs, such as payload, OR spacecraft bus, OR antenna, launch, OR ground systems, and/or operations and maintenance activities
  • Experience working with and managing subcontractors
  • Experience working with or supporting Integration and Test
  • Experience working with or supporting Validation and Verification
  • Experience supporting Parts, Materials, and Processes Control Board
  • Experience working directly with customers
  • Experience supporting Engineering Review Board
  • Experience reading cabling drawings, wiring diagrams, and circuit schematics
  • Knowledge of mechanical and non-destructive inspection techniques
