About the role

  • Legal Technician supporting daily legal operations for Norda Stelo in managing complex cases and assisting lawyers. Collaborating on corporate governance and administrative support for legal functions.

Responsibilities

  • Support lawyers in litigation matters, including: preparing, updating and monitoring case files; managing legal correspondence, including demand letters; and coordinating with external law firms, courts and other stakeholders.
  • Assist in drafting, reviewing and tracking legal documents, including commercial contracts, service agreements, transactions and security interests; as well as ancillary documents and administrative follow-ups related to contracts.
  • Prepare summaries, tracking tables, briefs and reports for the legal department or other business units.
  • Conduct case-law, doctrinal and legislative research to support legal analysis.
  • Maintain legal databases, corporate registers and legal department documentation.
  • Support activities of the board of directors, its committees and shareholders’ meetings, including: preparing agendas and meeting materials; coordinating and distributing documents; and providing administrative follow-up on decisions and resolutions.
  • Support the Vice President, Legal Affairs, Procurement and Acquisitions in the administrative management of the company's insurance portfolio, including corporate insurance, professional liability and other relevant coverages.
  • Coordinate logistical organization for corporate meetings and events (management committee, board of directors, board committees, shareholders’ meetings).

Requirements

  • College diploma (DEC) in Legal Techniques / Legal Technology
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent command of French, both spoken and written, and functional knowledge of English
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple files simultaneously.
