About the role

  • R&D Engineers developing and testing systems in telecommunications. Collaborating in agile teams to deliver high-quality software and innovative solutions for passive optical network technology.

Responsibilities

  • Be part of a multi-disciplinary agile team of senior experts and supported by state-of-the-art development and test technologies, tools and processes
  • Interface with various other teams (product management, software, hardware and ASIC/FPGA) to make sure we deliver high quality products to our customers
  • Define the test strategy and test plan for new features
  • Design and automate test cases to validate the embedded software which is at the heart of the product

Requirements

  • A master’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Industrial science or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge in software development (Python)
  • Take pride in the quality of your test cases and architecture
  • Interest in IP networks and Telecommunications networks in general
  • Willingness to contribute with creative, out-of-the-box solutions, to problems arising in a dynamic environment, under high market pressure.
  • A hands-on mindset
  • Basic knowledge on fiber technologies like GPON, XGSPON. 25G and 50G (it would be nice if you also had)
  • Experience with Docker, Jenkins, Robot Framework or similar test framework (it would be nice if you also had)
  • Experience with Xray test management (Jira) (it would be nice if you also had)
