About the role
- Full-Stack Developer supporting federal clients with web and mobile applications at Niyam IT. Collaborating cross-functionally to develop and maintain new features using modern technologies.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain responsive web and mobile applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Write clean, scalable, and efficient code using modern development practices.
- Develop and consume RESTful APIs.
- Maintain code quality through unit testing, automation, and peer reviews.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum-based development cycles.
- Ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
Requirements
- US Citizenship with ability to obtain a public trust.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Must be able to work onsite at client location in Ashburn, VA as needed.
- 8+ years of experience in full stack development for web and mobile platforms.
- Experience deploying applications in Kubernetes environments.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with Firebase services such as authentication, analytics, and cloud functions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Prior experience working with federal clients (preferred).
- Active public trust or security clearance (preferred).
- Experience working in Agile teams (preferred).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure) (preferred).
- Contribution to open-source or personal GitHub projects (preferred).
