About the role
- Accounting Manager responsible for establishing processes and IKS controls in German Finance department. Collaborating on strategic projects and ensuring compliance with HGB and IFRS standards.
Responsibilities
- Development, implementation and enforcement of company-wide processes and policies.
- Establishment and implementation of internal control (ICS) measures.
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with German GAAP (HGB) and IFRS.
- Management of outsourcing activities in the accounting area.
- Familiarization with and gradual takeover of regulatory reporting to BaFin and the Deutsche Bundesbank.
- Group contact for IFRS.
- Liaison for external auditors.
- Ad hoc analyses and reporting.
- Close collaboration with Controlling and Group Accounting Nexi.
- Monitoring and assessment of changes in legal regulations applicable to the Nexi Germany Group and integrating them into the overall Nexi Group framework.
- Active involvement in strategic projects and system migrations.
- Post-merger integration of newly acquired companies into the existing corporate structure.
- Process improvements in Finance through the use of relevant SAP functionalities and SAP customizing in collaboration with the Group SAP team.
Requirements
- Degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a commercial apprenticeship with an additional qualification as a certified balance sheet accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter) or comparable qualifications.
- Initial experience in regulatory reporting is desirable.
- Knowledge of SAP R/3 FI or S/4HANA is an advantage.
- Confident use of MS Office applications.
- Excellent Excel skills.
- You communicate confidently in German and have very good English skills.
- You are structured, keep an overview even in demanding situations, and have a strong understanding of accounting relationships.
- As a numbers expert, you provide concrete recommendations for action, thereby making the company more efficient.
