About the role

  • Workers Compensation Attorney managing cases for a premier defense firm in Encino, California. Engaging in trial readiness and client communication with a strong focus on performance metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of approximately 60 cases, ensuring no attorney exceeds 80 cases.
  • Serve as the primary contact for clients, addressing issues and concerns as they arise.
  • Handle all aspects of cases, including hearings and trials, with a focus on in-person trial readiness.
  • Collaborate with a dedicated Legal Assistant for administrative support, including drafting and scheduling.
  • Maintain accurate records of billable hours, targeting 200 hours per month.
  • Respond to client communications within 24 hours to foster strong relationships.
  • Travel within the area for trials, primarily in Southern California, as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Workers Compensation defense.
  • Proven ability to go to trial in person is essential.
  • Trial experience is highly preferred, with interest in understanding prior case management.
  • Must be barred in California.
