About the role
- AI Expert driving digital transformation across portfolio companies at Mutares. Defining scalable AI solutions and overseeing AI implementation in an entrepreneurial environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct discovery workshops to identify AI opportunities addressing key pain points such as automation, analytics, NLP, and generative AI
- Define and prioritize use cases based on business impact, feasibility, and implementation effort
- Design scalable AI solutions and prototypes, ensuring cross-portfolio reusability
- Oversee implementation, including vendor selection, team coordination, and technical validation
- Develop toolkits and frameworks to accelerate AI adoption and enablement across Mutares and its portfolio companies
Requirements
- Successfully completed a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering or similar field with outstanding results
- At least 3 years of experience in designing and implementing AI solutions in business contexts delivering large-scale AI or digital transformation projects in leading management consulting firms
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with an entrepreneurial mindset and hands-on approach
- Strong understanding of machine learning, LLMs, MLOps, data pipelines, and cloud-based AI architectures (Azure/AWS/GCP)
- Business fluency in German and English, with the ability to communicate in a well-structured and concise manner
- Willingness to travel up to 4 days per week (typically Monday – Thursday) and to work in an international environment
