About the role

  • Geospatial Engineer joining Murphy Geospatial on high‑profile semiconductor projects in Ireland. Collaborating with experts in delivering precision and innovation in mission‑critical environments.

Responsibilities

  • Work with and alongside a team of surveyors across a variety of field‑based surveying activities using advanced equipment and technologies, including: Total stations, Reality Capture scanners, GNSS/GPS equipment, and other modern survey devices
  • Establishing survey controls, setting out gridlines, levelling, traversing, and scanning using the latest Leica technology
  • Accurately record surveying data on-site in line with project specifications, quality standards, and scope
  • Assist with both field and office‑based surveying assignments
  • Ensure all survey equipment is maintained, calibrated, and kept in optimal condition
  • Work in accordance with company policies, safety practices, and established standards
  • Perform additional duties as required by the business

Requirements

  • Must be self-sufficient in terms of travel to and from the workplace
  • Safe Pass certified
  • A minimum of 3 year’s survey experience
  • Ability to understand construction drawings and prepare files for setout in the field
  • AutoCAD experience is desirable but not essential
  • Ability to work as both part of a team and in lone-working situations occasionally
  • Understanding of survey control traversing and analysis (desirable but not essential)
  • Proficient in spoken and written English
  • Degree in survey related field (desirable but not essential)
  • Full EU/ Irish Drivers’ license (desirable but not essential)
  • Willing and able to work overtime when required
  • Willingness and ability to travel and work across Europe as needed, subject to the achievement of specific career development milestones
