About the role
- Test Automation Engineer automating functional regression tests with Playwright/CodeceptJS. Collaborating in Agile environment with QA team and developers for efficient testing solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and execute automated test scripts using Playwright/CodeceptJS for functional regression tests.
- Collaborate with the QA team, developers and product managers to understand requirements and implement automated tests accordingly.
- Maintain and update automation test scripts to ensure they stay relevant with evolving features and technologies.
- Troubleshoot and debug automation scripts, working to resolve any issues that arise.
- Generate test reports and logs to track test progress and provide insights into test results.
- Work in an Agile environment and participate in sprint planning, stand-ups and retrospectives.
- Continuously improve automation processes and share knowledge with the team.
Requirements
- At least two years of experience in automation testing using Playwright/CodeceptJS (or similar tools like Cypress, etc.)
- Familiarity with test automation frameworks and tools
- Ability to write clear and concise test scripts
- Knowledge of version control tools like Git
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Nice-to-Haves: Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Bitbucket Pipelines).
- Understanding of Agile methodologies.
- Knowledge of web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript).
- Familiarity with API automation.
