About the role
- Backend Developer enhancing online experiences for huge user base using PHP and collaborating with diverse teams at MRI Software. Working on new and existing projects while mentoring junior developers.
Responsibilities
- Enhance online experiences for our huge user base
- Build responsive experiences for customers
- Work on new projects as well as existing live projects
- Collaborate with teams of Designers, Developers & other stakeholders
- Architect and develop robust backend systems using PHP/Laravel
- Design scalable RESTful APIs and microservices
- Optimize database performance and implement caching strategies
- Implement automated testing and deployment pipelines
- Mentor junior developers on Laravel best practices
- Collaborate with frontend teams on API integration
Requirements
- 3+ years of commercial experience in web application design & development
- 5+ years of backend development experience with PHP 7.x/8.x
- Expert-level Laravel framework knowledge
- Advanced MySQL database development and performance tuning
- RESTful API architecture and Laravel Sanctum implementation
- Linux server administration (Ubuntu environment)
- Git workflow management and collaboration
- Automated testing with PHPUnit
- Bachelor's/master’s degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related area
