About the role
- Lead and build a new Engagement & Retention engineering team. Drive architecture, delivery, and technical excellence in a hybrid environment based in Joinville, SC.
Responsibilities
- Build and structure a team from scratch in a new context focused on Engagement & Retention, defining processes, rituals, roles, and best practices from the ground up;
- Lead multidisciplinary teams, ensuring on-time delivery and high quality;
- Make strategic technical decisions and guide software architecture;
- Mentor developers and QAs, fostering technical growth and knowledge sharing;
- Collaborate with Product Managers and stakeholders to align technological solutions with business objectives;
- Implement and maintain best practices for development, security, testing, and performance.
Requirements
- Proven experience defining and implementing scalable architectures, including microservices;
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and cloud infrastructure (AWS and/or GCP);
- Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB);
- Knowledge of system optimization, API security, and secure development best practices;
- Experience leading development teams and ensuring agile project delivery;
- Strong communication skills to clearly interact with technical teams and non-technical stakeholders;
- Proactive problem-solving and the ability to make technical and strategic decisions;
- Ability to foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and constructive feedback.
