About the role

  • IT Cybersecurity Specialist handling technical support in information security for MODEC's operations. Ensuring strategic and compliance alignment with global cybersecurity standards.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, document and address support requests (questions and/or incidents) and information security-related demands through established communication channels.
  • Provide specialized Level 2 technical support (questions and/or incidents) and handle information security requests for internal and external clients, on-site or remotely, meeting agreed service targets and ensuring quality and effectiveness of service.
  • Understand and map business needs; identify, recommend, plan and execute the development, integration, enhancement, maintenance, customization, configuration, parameterization, deployment and/or support of information security solutions and services for internal and external clients to meet business requirements.
  • Perform capacity analysis and sizing of information security solutions in line with business needs.
  • Be available to handle department requests according to defined and agreed service hours and shifts, or on an on-call basis when necessary.
  • Manage hardware and software assets related to information security and ensure the availability, provisioning, maintenance and support of solutions, equipment, system software, tools and services required to meet business needs and enable employees to perform their defined functions.
  • Contribute to the IT budget for your area based on previous years’ spend and incorporating new demands—aligned with business needs.
  • Recommend, monitor and manage KPIs, and manage and report the operational activities and data that underpin those indicators for services under the area’s responsibility, ensuring compliance with business expectations and agreed service levels.

Requirements

  • Mandatory: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in support, projects and information security services.
  • Preferred: postgraduate qualification in Computer Networks, Information Security or a related field.
  • Advantage: postgraduate qualification in IT; certifications related to information security (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are a plus.
