About the role

Responsibilities

  • You independently manage the fresh and service counters in your assigned HIT store
  • You ensure product availability and that sales and inventory figures within your area of responsibility are correct
  • Together with your team, you present merchandise attractively
  • You advise and serve customers — acting as a role model for your team
  • You are responsible for the service counters and ensure optimal performance of the associated refrigerated shelves and freezers
  • Through careful staff scheduling and your ability to motivate, develop, and inspire employees, you ensure smooth operations

Requirements

  • Completed training as a specialist sales assistant in the fresh food sector or as a butcher
  • Ideally a master craftsman (Meister) certificate in the butchery trade or further training as a meat or cheese sommelier
  • Preferably some initial leadership experience in service counters
  • Very good knowledge of a wide range of sausage, meat, cheese, and fish products
  • Outgoing, responsible team-player personality
