About the role

  • Electrical Engineering Intern in Power Systems at Mitsubishi Electric for summer 2026. Supporting renewable energy integration and transmission system studies with hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support analysis of renewable energy resources (solar, wind, energy storage) connecting to the transmission grid
  • Assist with steady-state studies, including base case and contingency analyses
  • Support dynamic stability simulations such as transient and voltage stability studies
  • Gain hands-on experience with industry tools including Siemens PSSE and PowerGEM TARA

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelors or masters degree program in Electrical Engineering, with a focus on Power Systems
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Interest in the power and energy industry, including renewables and transmission systems
  • Prior internship or co-op experience
  • Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
