About the role
- Mechanical Designer creating design automation tools for Xerxes underground storage tanks. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve design consistency and reduce manual effort in the engineering process.
Responsibilities
- Develop online product configurators and internal drawing-automation workflows
- Build design automation tools utilizing SolidWorks and DriveWorks
- Coordinate with Engineering, Marketing, IT, and Sales for project requirements
- Manage project documentation, working with the project management office to report work
- Train design and sales groups on tool functions
Requirements
- Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g.: Mechanical Engineering Technician) is an asset.
- Equivalent coursework, or credentials may be equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience or previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is required
- Customer service oriented, multi-tasker, ability to influence/build trust, problem-solving
- Knowledge in Web development, UI design, SolidWorks with modeling is an asset
- Both Strong DriveWorks and SolidWorks experience is an asset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel
