About the role

  • Mechanical designer creating and optimizing equipment with a focus on automation in a hybrid setting. Collaborating with experts while ensuring effective project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Design new equipment, develop innovative concepts, modify existing solutions, and prepare technical drawings and specifications
  • Perform the design calculations required for all projects
  • Carry out sizing/dimensioning calculations to ensure designs meet requirements
  • Design mechanical parts in 3D
  • Write functional requirements for new machines under development
  • Provide technical support to sales, production, service, and purchasing teams
  • Communicate with suppliers for adaptation projects
  • When required, participate in the installation of systems at customer sites
  • Perform any other related duties as needed

Requirements

  • Technical diploma or bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or other relevant training
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
  • Excellent command of French, both spoken and written
  • Good ability to communicate in English (spoken and written) to collaborate with our English-speaking clients and suppliers
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks is an asset
  • Structured, organized, creative, and team-oriented
  • Strong interest in automation
