About the role
- Finance Business Partner overseeing financial performance of ANZ supply chain at Mars. Collaborating with leadership to optimize performance and ensure regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Oversee financial performance of our supply chain operations in ANZ
- Develop annual budgets, forecasts and longer-term financial plans for each supply chain (Australia & New Zealand)
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to freight, warehousing, finished goods inventory and pricing to assess performance and identify areas for optimization
- Establish and maintain robust cost accounting systems to accurately track logistics costs
- Support accurate calculation of intercompany pricing and reporting of affiliate sales
- Prepare timely and accurate financial reports, including monthly financial statements, variance analysis, and performance dashboards
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including US GAAP and local tax regulations
- Partner with supply chain leadership teams in key management forums to provide financial insights and support decision-making
- Act as a trusted advisor to supply chain managers, offering financial guidance and recommendations to optimize performance
- Analyze cost trends, investigate variances, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred
- 5+ years of progressive co-piloting experience in finance, preferably in an FMCG environment
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, financial analysis, and performance metrics
- Proficiency in financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting techniques
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Experience using a range of accounting software, advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerBI
