Requirements
- **Key Responsibilities **
- Triage of events generated by alerting systems with a view of finding potential incidents
- Resolving and escalating incidents according to standard operational procedures
- Ensure internal support requests are dealt with on a timely manner, and contribute to knowledge sharing across technology and business teams
- Support the Service Desk function with advanced requests to ensure the smooth operation of systems
- Update event correlation rules to ensure the relevance of events raised. Work with senior analysts to achieve this objective
- Participate in incident response as required, by providing support in accordance with the LMAX Incident Response Standard
- Engage with business teams and employees to resolve system issues
- **Essential Skills and Experience **
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to write working code in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, C/C++/C#, Python, Go) and a strong grasp of object-oriented programming.
- Commitment to writing clean, readable, and maintainable code.
- An eye for efficiency, identifying opportunities to improve processes and automate workflows.
- Understanding the importance of maintaining confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information, and the impact of their loss on business and individuals.
- Understanding the importance of security from both technological and human perspectives.
- A collaborative spirit committed to ensuring the stability and performance of our IT infrastructure.
- Understanding the role of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Puppet.
