About the role

  • Engineering Intern at Lincoln Electric evaluating and developing mechanical and industrial projects. Implementing Lean Manufacturing processes for increased efficiency and quality control.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, develop and troubleshoot mechanical and industrial projects in the Gainesville facility to maximize efficiency and eliminate downtime.
  • Apply the principles of Lean Manufacturing in a "hands-on" position, participating in the implementation of a complete Lean culture change in a US manufacturing facility.
  • Ensure current electronics are capable of producing quality parts
  • Projects completed in a timely manner
  • Effectivity and efficiency goals obtained for the machining cells
  • Root cause of problematic issues identified and solutions recommended, acquired and implemented

Requirements

  • Mechanical Engineering coursework completed in preparation for Mechanical Engineering degree from an accredited engineering college or university.
  • Six Sigma training
  • Solidworks experience
  • MS Office proficiency including Excel and Power-point
