About the role
- Senior Transmission Line Engineer designing high-voltage overhead and underground systems for utilities. Engaging in technical design tasks and project management with a focus on compliance and quality control.
Responsibilities
- Execute technical design and engineering tasks for high-voltage transmission lines
- Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and calculations
- Perform engineering analyses, including PLS-CADD modeling and structure loading calculations
- Contribute to continuous improvement goals by learning and applying new technical tools
- Communicate project progress with the Project Manager
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- 4+ years of relevant experience in electric utility transmission system design
- Experience using PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE
- Strong interpersonal and written communication abilities
- EIT or PE certification is desirable
- Experience with TOWER, LPILE or FAD, Mathcad, AutoCAD or MicroStation, and GIS is a plus
