About the role

Responsibilities
- Replacement of an existing application through a complete redevelopment
- Analyze requirements together with domain experts in workshops
- Design and implement an appropriate software solution based on .NET, cloud technologies and data pipelines
- Migrate a relational system into the data lakehouse to be designed
- Implement new or existing data interfaces and services
- Take ownership of the backend and an end-user frontend
- Ensure the smooth operation of the legacy system
- Apply modern DevOps practices to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the software
Requirements
- University degree in Computer Science or comparable qualification
- Strong knowledge of C# (.NET Core) and Python
- Practical experience with distributed systems, ideally in an AWS cloud environment or with Docker and Kubernetes
- Practical experience with data lake technologies, such as Databricks or AWS Athena and Apache Spark
- Hands-on experience in professional software development (e.g., Dependency Injection, mocking, TDD, CI/CD pipelines)
- Confident handling of relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle) and general familiarity with AWS technologies
- Proficient with Azure DevOps, Jira or GitLab, GIT version control and agile working methods (Scrum)
- Good English and German language skills required
