About the role
- Procurement Category Manager leading Transportation Procurement activities in collaboration with teams at Kramp. Building supplier bases and developing sourcing strategies for cost efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Create and gain business wide support for and implement category sourcing plans
- Develop sourcing strategies in line with category plans
- Lead sourcing activities: organize tenders, negotiations, contracting
- Build effective relationships with stakeholders across functions and country business units
- Identify opportunities to deliver total cost of ownership savings and collaborate on implementation
- Proactively manage supplier relationships for quality and service levels
- Measure and benchmark supplier performance
- Search for cost saving opportunities, new technologies, services, and suppliers
Requirements
- Relevant Bachelor or Master’s degree
- At least 5 years of relevant experience
- At least one year in Logistics
- Experience in a Procurement team/environment
- Previous Carrier Business Development and/or Transportation Management experience is an asset
- Good knowledge of the European logistics market
- Excellent track record of delivering “best in class cost and cash results”
- International experience in global/EU companies is desirable
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- Experience with creating and implementing Procurement category strategies
- Experience with Strategic sourcing software (e.g. SAP Ariba / Oracle / Coupa)
