About the role

  • Counseling Intern assisting in clinical and work/life requests for KGA. Supporting employees in achieving well-being through assessments, counseling, and case management.

Responsibilities

  • Completes intake, assessments, research and referral for clinical as well as work/life requests
  • Conducts short-term face-to-face and phone counseling
  • Provides case management
  • Responsibility for client records (paper & electronic)
  • Case placement, tracking and follow-up
  • 3-4 intakes daily
  • Assists EAP Counselors with cases as needed
  • Research and writing on a variety of EAP and work/life topics
  • Special projects as assigned

Requirements

  • Applicants must be in the New England area to have access to our office location when needed.
  • currently considering second year graduate student in social work for our Counseling team.
  • Second year graduate students must have completed the equivalent of one year of graduate school in social work and must have field placement and/or work experience in a clinical setting.
  • Prefer candidates who also have previous work experience in a business environment.
  • Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
