Responsibilities
Navigates inside the Claims organization effectively with limited direction
Performs analyses using actuarial reserving methodologies to provide insight into the impacts of environmental, operational, and systems changes
Analyzes trends in data and translates impacts to calendar and accident periods
Extract data using SQL or NoSQL to identify an operational or environmental trend impacting the financials
Direct with Analyst and Senior Analyst professional development via mentoring
Ability to develop meaningful insights and communicate with supporting data and the appropriate tool
Consistently uses best practices to document and organize work
Proactively monitors internal and external factors influencing income statement & balance sheet
Handles multiple competing priorities effectively with limited direction
Demonstrates mastery of coverages, Claims Operational Processes and functional areas while interpreting results and trends

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of Actuarial Science, Data Science, Economics, Physics, Math, Computer Science, Engineering - Mechanical or Electrical
3+ P&C Insurance Experience
4+ years of actuarial work experience
ACAS strongly preferred
Advanced skills with Tableau, Python or R or other programming language
Ability to apply descriptive analytics to analyze data and validate assumptions
Ability to do variance analysis independently
Uses advanced techniques to describe incremental contributors to total variance
