About the role
- Backend Engineer developing cutting-edge PHP & Golang technology for Kaufland's international online marketplaces. Designing scalable backend solutions while working in a dynamic team environment.
Responsibilities
- Developing cutting-edge technology and designing scalable and robust backend solutions for Kaufland Marketplaces
- Ownership of end-to-end feature development from designing and coding to testing, deployment, and monitoring in production environments
- Working closely with different stakeholders and other engineers to achieve common goals
- Contributing to the evolution of development processes and methodologies
- Writing clean, maintainable, and high-performance code adhering to best practices
- Mentoring and guiding junior engineers in pair programming sessions.
Requirements
- Educational level corresponding to completed university studies in (business) information technology, (business) engineering, mathematics, or physics, or comparable practical experience
- Extensive experience in backend development, with a comprehensive understanding of PHP and/or Golang
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, databases, and microservices architecture
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker, Kubernetes
- Drive to continuously develop both yourself and your team
- Excellent communication skills and willingness to embrace company culture and values
- Enjoy working in an international, English-speaking team.
