About the role

Responsibilities
- You develop modern, high-performance applications with GUI, middleware, and backend components in a service-oriented architecture.
- Together with your agile team, you implement tailored solutions based on Java, Spring and React.
- You support the entire project lifecycle — from conception and design to implementation and testing.
- Quality is important to you: you ensure our software remains stable and future-proof through code reviews, unit tests and integration tests.
- You analyze existing applications, identify weaknesses and implement sustainable bug fixes.
- You continuously optimize existing systems and bring them up to date — both technically and functionally.
Requirements
- A degree in computer science or a related field, or an equivalent qualification acquired through relevant professional experience.
- Several years of experience in software development.
- Practical experience with various software development models, especially in agile environments.
- Competence in solution design and translating complex requirements into technical solutions.
- Confident use of common development tools and testing frameworks.
- Knowledge of Java, Spring or JavaScript (preferably React).
- Practical experience with middleware technologies (e.g., RabbitMQ), REST APIs, and relational and/or NoSQL databases.
- Experience with code-assistance systems and/or coding agents (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) is a plus.
- Familiarity with container technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and modern deployment processes.
- Advantageous (not required): knowledge of Continuous Integration as well as Continuous Delivery and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).
- Knowledge of processing XML documents or authentication methods such as OIDC or SAML.
- Interest in innovative technologies and actively following current IT trends.
- Business-fluent German and good English.
