About the role

  • Technical Specialist leading engineering and architecture decisions at Junto Seguros. Delivering scalable solutions for insurance products with a focus on performance and security.

Responsibilities

  • Translate business needs into technical solutions (architecture, integrations, API contracts, data, and critical workflows).
  • Lead the design and execution of complex initiatives within squad(s), ensuring scalability, security, and high performance.
  • Align trade-offs, risks, and priorities with stakeholders, ensuring predictability without compromising quality.
  • Define and uphold engineering standards (design, code reviews, testing, CI/CD, observability, and security).
  • Support SRE/Operations in service reliability (availability targets, metrics, and incident prevention).
  • Mentor engineers and reduce technical debt using data-driven prioritization of risks and efficiency.
  • Balance technical depth with strategic vision, ensuring engineering decisions align with business objectives.
  • Maintain technical consistency and quality across distributed environments and multiple squads, even under tight deadlines and changing scope.
  • Influence technical decisions through design reviews, RFCs, and trade-off alignment across varying levels of maturity and specialization.
  • Anticipate technical risks and propose scalable solutions in contexts of high architectural complexity.
  • Ensure continuous evolution of the technology stack without compromising the stability of legacy systems.
  • Prepare releases with engineering discipline: observability, metrics, and rollback plans.

Requirements

  • Strong experience with distributed systems architecture, integrations, service design, and APIs.
  • .NET (cloud-native) and experience with microservices/API architecture.
  • Databases: PostgreSQL / SQL Server. (Preferred: MongoDB/DocumentDB, Redis, CDC (Debezium)).
  • Messaging/streaming: Kafka / SQS / RabbitMQ.
  • Cloud/DevSecOps: Docker, Kubernetes (EKS), Terraform/Ansible, CI/CD (CircleCI).
  • Observability and security: Datadog/Dynatrace, SAST/DAST, and secure development practices.
  • Solid software engineering experience, acting as a technical reference for strategic initiatives/architecture.
  • Bachelor's degree in Technology/Engineering/Computer Science.
