About the role
- Test Automation / QA Engineer responsible for ensuring high quality in mobile apps and cloud services. Working with both manual and automated testing for various workflows and integrations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute test plans for mobile apps, BLE connectivity, and Azure cloud backend services.
- Perform manual and automated functional testing of key workflows (registration, login, ICE contact setup, crash event handling, telemetry sync).
- Implement integration tests, treating the ECU as a black box, to validate cross-system behavior.
- Automate regression tests covering performance, scalability, and user experience.
- Create and maintain automated API tests for cloud services using tools like Postman, PyTest, or RestAssured.
- Develop automated BLE test scripts to validate GATT profiles, OTA firmware updates, and connection stability.
- Configure CI/CD pipelines to run automated tests in Azure DevOps.
- Implement reporting and dashboards to track test results and QA progress.
- Conduct security and privacy testing, including encrypted BLE communication and GDPR-compliant data handling.
- Document test cases, maintain defect logs, and contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes.
Requirements
- Strong experience in QA / test engineering , including test automation
- Experience testing mobile applications (iOS and/or Android)
- Experience with API testing (e.g., Postman + automated API tests)
- Good knowledge of Python (PyTest) and/or Java (RestAssured) (or similar automation stack)
- Practical experience with CI/CD , preferably Azure DevOps
- Good understanding of integration testing across systems
- Ability to write clear test documentation and handle defects in a structured way
