About the role

  • Corporate Attorney responsible for contract management and legal support at Ahern. Reviewing contracts and collaborating with internal stakeholders while overseeing contract administration.

Responsibilities

  • Safeguard business operations through contract management and strategic legal support
  • Review and negotiate a wide range of contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and NDAs
  • Serve as a central point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
  • Prepare and negotiate vendor agreements and major equipment purchase orders
  • Maintain organized records within the contract management system
  • Collaborate with the General Counsel on general liability claims and job dispute resolution
  • Supervise Ahern’s Bids and Contracts Administrator

Requirements

  • A law degree and admission to practice in Wisconsin (or eligibility for admission by reciprocity)
  • At least two years of experience, with a primary focus on contract negotiation and drafting
  • Experience reviewing and negotiating contract language
  • Working knowledge of insurance certificates and coverages
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Bluebeam markup software
  • Strong reading comprehension and ability to manage diverse tasks and deadlines
