Senior Safety Technician conducting inspections and managing safety measures for ISA ENERGIA BRASIL. Collaborating with internal teams to ensure compliance with safety regulations and improve practices.
Responsibilities
Conduct field work performing scheduled and unscheduled inspections to identify deviations and opportunities for improvement, ensuring these are translated into consistent, actionable plans within the management area of responsibility. Inspections should consider working conditions, facilities, machinery, equipment, and accident risk factors.
Develop and maintain up-to-date Hazard and Risk Matrices for the facilities and processes assigned, ensuring proper determination of control and mitigation measures to reduce intolerable risks.
Monitor and oversee Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) management of service providers (contractors) within the scope of the management area — identifying, reporting, and directly intervening in activity deviations, suspending work and defining the minimum conditions for resumption. Also, map and implement opportunities for improvement for the correct execution of routine or emergency activities.
Manage operationally and oversee practical quality and durability tests when adopting new PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and CPE (Collective Protective Equipment), issuing or approving reports prepared by in-house specialists or contracted companies on the tested brands, indicating the most suitable option.
Perform critical analysis of recorded deviations and nonconformities, contributing to the direction of the implementation and maintenance strategy for ISA ENERGIA BRASIL’s Occupational Health and Safety Management System.
Support the Internal Commission for Accident Prevention (CIPA) in validating its work plan and safety recommendations; participate in the analysis of deviations, incidents and occupational accidents; generate and submit legal documents (meeting minutes, reports, electoral process documents, etc.) to OHS Management, among other duties relevant to the area.
Requirements
High school diploma and Technical Degree in Occupational Safety (Técnico em Segurança do Trabalho), with active MTb registration.
Solid knowledge of: Technical Instructions from the Military Police Fire Department; specific occupational safety legislation (Regulatory Standards - NRs) and Ministry of Labor requirements.
