About the role

• Backend developer with GO / Java for IONOS, the leading European cloud and hosting provider. Contributing to the development of modern hosting services and microservices architecture.

Responsibilities

• Own features end-to-end: Understand product flows deeply, build new capabilities, and evolve existing ones;
• Ensure reliability: Troubleshoot and resolve issues across all environments - QA, pre-production, and live systems;
• Architect for scale: Design and develop high-performance, distributed microservices that handle real-world traffic;
• Embrace DevOps: Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines from testing to production (DevOps mindset is a strong plus);
• Drive technical solutions: Create technical concepts and work closely with Product Owners and Architects to align technology with product vision;
• Work autonomously: Take ownership of your work with minimal supervision when needed;
• Share the full lifecycle: Participate in development, maintenance, and platform improvements - not just feature delivery;
• Collaborate globally: Join an international community of software developers and AI enthusiasts pushing boundaries together.

Requirements

• 4+ years experience developing object oriented software using Java / Go;
• 2+ more years experience working on REST services/servers;
• Working experience with Spring Framework (Core, WebFlux, Boot, Cloud);
• Problem solving and analytical skills;
• Experience with Maven and CI/CD;
• Microservice oriented architecture, performance and scalability concerns;
• Experience with unit testing;
• Advanced operation of version control / git;
• Basics of Linux.
