About the role

  • GPU Software Development Engineer developing innovative software solutions for media and video acceleration on Intel's graphics architecture. Collaborating on cutting-edge technologies to optimize performance.

Responsibilities

  • Develops new cross OS software that delivers Media and Video (Encode, Decode, and Processing) acceleration on Intel's graphics architecture
  • Scope spans the entire Intel Media SW stack, from device drivers through runtimes, APIs and the application layer
  • Includes tools, infrastructure, technologies necessary for developing, profiling, optimizing, and productizing Intel Media software solutions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering or related field
  • 3+ years of relevant experience or a Master's degree in similar domains with 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Cross-OS software development experience
  • Experience with GPU Media and Video acceleration technologies such as DirectX, LibVA, codecs: AVC/HEVC/VVC, AV1, VP8/9, or other codecs
  • Proficient in programming languages, including C++/C
  • Understanding of GPU architectures.
