About the role

  • Financial Analyst supporting finance projects and invoicing at Inizio Engage. Responsibilities include preparing client invoices and financial reconciliations in a hybrid role.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the monthly preparation of client invoices and collaborate with Business Unit Directors, Managers and Coordinators to ensure invoices comply with client contracts, SOWs and change orders for assigned accounts
  • Coordinate the maintenance of client MSAs, SOWs and purchase orders, and monitor invoicing against purchase orders
  • Build trust and credibility with clients and team members by responding promptly and accurately to their needs, following up diligently, and delivering high-quality work
  • Prepare and record journal entries in accordance with GAAP/IFRS, including revenue recognition and accrued/deferred revenues and expenses
  • Contribute to the preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations for the business unit
  • Prepare monthly project reconciliations for clients
  • Ensure variable expenses are reconciled and billed to clients in a timely manner
  • Help improve the financial profitability of projects by identifying and reporting variances to the Controller; analyze trends and recommend ideas to improve margins
  • Assist in the management and resolution of assigned accounts receivable, including past-due or aged balances
  • Participate in the preparation of annual client budgets and monthly forecasts
  • Participate in internal and external audits
  • Participate in special projects and perform other assigned duties

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, or 5 years of equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant finance experience
  • Fully bilingual in English and French (spoken and written)
  • Experience with contract-related billing, budget estimation, and preparation of periodic billing reconciliations
  • Strong organizational, time management and planning skills to prioritize work and use resources effectively to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to perform tasks with a high attention to detail, strong sense of accountability and minimal supervision
  • Advanced Excel skills (data analysis) — VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, etc.
  • Experience with Oracle or a similar ERP/financial system
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with others
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, results-oriented and a strong drive to succeed
  • Adaptable to growth and organizational change
