About the role

  • Data Lead ensuring data integrity and efficiency for data flows in a SaaS company. Responsible for monitoring, validating, and auditing data processes to enhance quality and timeliness.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that data flows are operating correctly and without failures by creating monitoring routines (checklists and automations) that guarantee the quality and visibility of stored and generated data
  • Monitor data ingestion, processing and consumption to prevent bottlenecks
  • Ensure the routines and data quality that feed the system. Daily evaluation of data coming from integrations (Neogrid), monthly pyramid validation (Colgate), and review of other databases
  • Create and track data and report delivery schedules
  • Design delivery and validation workflows, taking into account clients' master schedules (primarily Colgate) — ensure main calendar flows — objectives (generation, internal validation, client validation, import and import validation), outcomes (daily updates, sending and validation of closing DBD), checkpoints (validation of rules, verification of calculations and generated results), among others
  • Define and apply validation rules and data quality standards, such as rules to detect duplicate information and processes, data format and consistency checks; automate checks, correct errors and ensure data meets client requirements before delivery
  • Establish audit and continuous monitoring processes through scripts to remove duplicates, standardize formats and validate inconsistencies. Configure alerts for errors, periodically review samples and correct issues before any final client delivery
  • Create and maintain operational checklists for the team (ETL, dashboards, data analysis)
  • Create and audit the team's use of operational checklists — documentation of routines to avoid execution failures
  • Conduct alignment and follow-up meetings with the team, providing technical guidance on projects and for validation, alignment and presentation of results, without needing participation from other leadership
  • Resolve blockers that impact the team and deliveries, ensuring resources so that all requests are delivered, and ensuring relationships with other areas and delivery flows are validated
  • Ensure client requirements are well understood, captured, documented and met — from the briefing and business rule information to alignment on data import and storage — and ensure that all program-related rules are well documented
  • Maintain regular communication to align expectations and project progress and establish reporting routines and alignment with other areas and clients to present created solutions, improvements and resolution of critical points
