About the role

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs for web applications
- Collaborate with frontend engineers to deliver end-to-end web features

Requirements
- 2+ years of professional experience in backend or web application development
- Strong proficiency in Python or at least one backend language (e.g. Java, Node.js, C#, Go, or similar)
- Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs
- Solid understanding of relational databases and data modeling (e.g. PostgreSQL)
- Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Experience with containerization and deployment workflows (e.g. Docker, CI/CD)
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a distributed, remote team
- Nice to have: Experience with Kubernetes or managed container platforms, Exposure to infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g. Terraform), Experience with Websockets, Experience with Monitoring tools, Basic knowledge of frontend technologies (e.g. React), Experience operating production systems or participating in on-call rotations
