About the role
- Software Test Engineer ensuring quality for SaaS products delivered by an Agile team. Key role in defining test cases, identifying defects, and collaborating across teams for project success.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute test cases, scripts, and supporting test data to ensure software meets quality standards and user requirements, following defined test processes and the SDLC.
- Identify, track, and report defects from both a testing and customer perspective, collaborating closely with developers, project managers, and other cross‑functional teams.
- Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using the pre‑defined automation framework.
- Participate in project planning and estimation to ensure testing activities are accurately scoped and properly resourced.
- Assist with preparing test datasets, writing test cases, and executing tests based on guided understanding of requirements.
- Take part in team ceremonies such as planning, daily stand‑ups, demos, and retrospectives.
- Maintain clear documentation for test scripts and processes while keeping up to date with the latest trends and technologies in software testing and development.
Requirements
- 2+ years of professional software testing experience with proven ability to contribute to teams delivering and maintaining web-based software
- Experienced in automation scripting using tools such as Playwright, C#, Selenium, Appium, or similar
- Demonstrable experience using Gherkin and Cucumber to define stories and success criteria
- Hold or pursue relevant certifications such as ISTQB or similar testing qualifications, cyber-related credentials like CEH, and cloud certifications including AWS Cloud Practitioner
- Possess a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (desirable)
- Communicate effectively in English (written and verbal)
