About the role
- SPS Programmierer developing and optimizing software for modern automation systems at HÖRMANN Intralogistics. Involved in project from planning phase to commissioning of logistic solutions.
Responsibilities
- You program and optimize control software for modern systems such as storage and retrieval machines (SRMs) and conveyor/material handling systems.
- You support the commissioning of our automation solutions and perform comprehensive fault diagnostics.
- You prepare detailed application documentation and assist in planning new projects to ensure smooth implementation.
- You act as a technical advisor for customer inquiries and help develop tailored solutions.
Requirements
- A degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or a comparable qualification.
- Alternatively, you have completed vocational training as an Electronics Technician for Automation Technology, Electronics Technician for Industrial Engineering, or a similar qualification, plus additional training in PLC programming.
- You may also be a good fit if you have completed advanced technician training in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, Mechatronics, or a comparable further qualification.
- Several years of experience in PLC programming and commissioning, ideally in intralogistics or special-purpose machinery.
- Knowledge of PROFINET, AS-i, and TIA Portal is an advantage.
- Very good German and good English skills.
- Willingness to travel (approx. 50% travel, domestic and international) and a valid driving license.
