About the role
- Junior Scientific Writer preparing scientific publications for Hilo by Aktiia. Collaborating with cross-functional teams and ensuring clarity and accuracy of scientific materials.
Responsibilities
- Support the preparation of scientific content that underpins scientific publications and communication
- Draft manuscripts, abstracts, and presentations based on clinical and technical outputs
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Data Science, Clinical, Product, and Marketing
- Prepare reviewer responses and manage publication timelines
- Monitor relevant scientific literature and industry developments
- Prepare materials for Key Opinion Leader interactions and collaborations
- Support coordination of scientific deliverables across teams
Requirements
- PhD in biomedical science, biomedical engineering, biology, data science, statistics, applied mathematics, or a related field
- Strong track record of scientific writing (manuscripts, abstracts, posters)
- Excellent command of scientific English (second European language is a plus)
- Experience with reference management tools (EndNote, Zotero, or Mendeley)
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to structure and communicate complex scientific content clearly
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
- Bonus: Experience preparing scientific figures or presentations
- Bonus: Basic programming skills (e.g. Python)
