About the role

  • UI/UX Engineer responsible for optimizing BlueSpice software in terms of accessibility and usability. Collaborating closely with product management to ensure compliance with guidelines and improve user experience.

Responsibilities

  • You rapidly and systematically advance the frontend of our software and optimize it for various devices.
  • You translate screen designs into code and implement functionality.
  • You ensure the accessibility of our software by monitoring compliance with the Barrier-Free Strengthening Act (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz) and WCAG guidelines in the digital context, thereby guaranteeing an unrestricted user experience for all users of our wikis.
  • You improve the usability of BlueSpice in close collaboration with product management, drive interface standardization and enhancements in user guidance.
  • You advise and support product development in creating concepts.

Requirements

  • Ideally, you have completed training in UX/UI design and/or have 5 to 10 years of experience in UX/UI design or web development.
  • You have an eye for precise implementation of designs and can overcome technical challenges that arise.
  • You have experience implementing legal accessibility requirements (BITV 2.0).
  • You have an understanding of and interest in open-source technology and collaborative, open development models.
  • You have experience with HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
  • Working consistently with ticketing systems, test environments and Git is your day-to-day.
  • Bootstrap and LESS are familiar to you.
  • You are highly self-organized, understand priorities and meet implementation deadlines.
  • You speak fluent German and English.
