About the role

  • Safety Engineer focused on technical implementation of health and safety measures in robotics and automation. Ensures compliance with EU regulations while collaborating with teams across Europe.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement EHS management systems and processes in the field
  • Regularly inspect the effectiveness of implementation, and ensure compliance with regulations and standards
  • Perform regular site inspections and internal audits; coordinate external audits, implement corrective measures, and promote continuous improvement
  • Conduct regular workplace risk assessments (RI&E in NL, DUERP in FR, etc.), supervise the rectification of illegal operations, and ensure the safety and compliance of operations
  • Approve and supervise hazardous operations to ensure controlled management of high-risk operations
  • Strictly control the compliance of outsourcing contractors' construction, sign safety construction agreements, and supervise the safe execution of the construction process
  • Organize three-level safety education for new employees, verify the certification status of special operations, conduct EHS training and emergency drills, and enhance employees' emergency response capabilities
  • Participate in the investigation and analysis of safety accidents and near misses, write investigation reports, and promote the implementation of rectification measures

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Safety Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field
  • Professional certification preferred (e.g., NEBOSH, TÜV Functional Safety Engineer, or equivalent)
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in safety engineering, ideally in automation, robotics, or manufacturing
  • Knowledge of EU machinery safety directives and ISO standards for robotics
  • Fluent in English; additional European language (Dutch/German/French) advantageous
  • Exceptional communication, influence, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to travel globally and work across diverse teams and time zones
