About the role
- Senior Board Design Engineer designing complex Printed Circuit Assemblies at Hewlett Packard Enterprise. Collaborating on high-performance computing systems and working independently in engineering test environments.
Responsibilities
- Independently design new and derivative PCAs based on system and board design requirements
- Work closely with power, mechanical, thermal, signal integrity, firmware engineers as well as vendors
- Conduct reviews of designs with the design and operations teams
- Bring-up, debug, and validate PCAs in an engineering test lab environment
- Release new PCA designs into manufacturing and support root cause issue resolution during production
Requirements
- BSEE or MSEE with 8 years of design experience in server/compute node or high speed network switch PCA design
- Proficiency with Allegro Design Entry HDL or similar schematic capture tools
- Experience with Allegro PCB layout tools for PCB design review
- Advanced knowledge of signal integrity principles/techniques
- Knowledge of server grade x86 and/or ARM and/or GPU processors
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
