Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Typescript and Playwright
- Design and execute manual tests to ensure timely sprint delivery
- Collaborate with development teams to understand application features and create comprehensive test plans
- Identify, document, and track software defects to resolution
- Optimize test automation processes and frameworks for efficiency and scalability
- Provide mentorship to junior test engineers
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve our testing practices
- Work directly with development teams in London and California
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in computer science / engineering or comparable experience
- ISTQB certification or similar
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Test Automation Engineer, with a strong portfolio of automated test scripts
- Proficiency in Typescript
- Strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies
- Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
- Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- A continuous learning mindset and a passion for staying current with new technologies
- Experience with other test frameworks and tools
- Knowledge of performance and load testing
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
