- Be hands-on: prototype, implement, refactor, lead, and unblock others when needed
- Challenge assumptions when they don’t scale or make sense anymore
- Own and shape the architecture of AI-driven capabilities in the GoodData platform
- Design systems that are flexible, evolvable, and resilient - built for uncertainty, not false stability
- Drive technical direction and decision-making for the AI team
- Work across the stack - backend-first, but with strong frontend awareness
- Translate AI possibilities into pragmatic, shippable product solutions
- Mentor senior engineers and raise the overall technical bar
Requirements
- Strong ownership mentality - you see problems and solve them
- Pragmatic, outcome-focused, and execution-oriented
- Experience designing distributed systems, APIs and service boundaries and scalable, observable, production-grade platforms
- Backend-heavy full-stack engineer (Python, Langfuse, Qdrant, MCP, Deepeval, PyTorch,...)
- Solid frontend understanding (you don’t need to be a CSS wizard, but you *can* reason about FE architecture)
