About the role

Responsibilities
- Design and steward licensing models, entitlements, and usage definitions for software, AI, and integrated solutions.
- Partner with Product and Technology teams early in the product design and pre-launch phases.
- Work with Legal and commercial contracting teams to develop standard, modular contract constructs.
- Ensure alignment between licensing and contract designs and revenue recognition, billing, FinOps, and operational systems.
- Guide the modernization of legacy software contracts through clear standards and decision logic.
Requirements
- 8–12 years of experience in software licensing, commercial strategy, contract design, product monetization, or related roles within software, SaaS, or other technology-enabled businesses.
- Proven experience designing licensing and commercial models that scale across multiple products, customer segments, or geographies.
- Strong understanding of modern licensing approaches (subscription, usage-based, hybrid) and how they operate commercially and operationally.
- Demonstrated ability to move comfortably between detailed commercial constructs and broader product and business context, and connect the two in decision-making.
- Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Technology, Legal, Finance, Commercial, and Operations teams in complex, fast-moving environments.
- Clear and persuasive communicator, able to influence senior stakeholders and align teams without formal authority.
- Strong systems thinking, with the ability to connect product design, licensing intent, revenue recognition, billing, and execution realities.
