Responsibilities
Help develop GE Aerospace’s Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) product line.
Drive impact across functional, business, and company-wide objectives.
Execute a robust process of design, creation, and optimization of systems.
Identify and quantify system requirements and perform design trade studies.
Contribute to project planning and bids.
Lead, guide, and contribute to the systems engineering verification and validation efforts across GE Aerospace’s Common Core Platform.
Execute plans and tasks related to systems engineering verification and validation activities for aircraft computing products.
Manage and coordinate issues, problem reports, deviations, and change requests to closure.
Lead/manage interdisciplinary collaboration with various teams such as software, hardware, test, safety, quality, maintainability, reliability, and certification teams.
Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or relatable field of study.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in design & development and/or technical project leadership within an engineering product development environment.
Ability and desire to mentor other engineers in key technical areas.
Previous experience that enables the candidate to understand and translate between different engineering disciplines.
Systems engineering thought process on verification.
Systems Engineering degree/certification.
Prior experience managing or designing within an Avionics Design Assurance Level A or B Environment.
Familiarity with networking products or data concentrator systems.
Familiarity with interfaces including but not limited to analog, discrete, RS-232/422/485, ARINC 429/664/825.
Experience with engineering processes including requirements definition, requirements allocation, requirements validation, requirements verification, integration, embedded software, electronic systems, FAA/EASA/NAA certification, and system safety.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams in systems verification activities, including but not limited to test plan creation and execution of test scripts/cases.
This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Therefore, employment will be contingent upon the ability to prove that you meet the status of a U.S. Person.
