About the role

• Senior Linux Systemadministrator managing internal IT systems and supporting development for GameDuell. Focused on optimizing services, infrastructure, and providing tech support in Berlin office.

Responsibilities

• Optimize, expand, monitor, update and maintain our internal IT systems and services, including server and cloud infrastructure
• Plan and implement service setups using Ansible
• Serve as the point of contact for provisioning, installation and troubleshooting of server and cloud services as well as other internal services for all teams (mail server, file server, Kubernetes, telephone system, JIRA, Confluence, OTRS, etc.)
• Create scripts (Python, Bash) to optimize, automate and extend services, applications and processes
• Administer desktop operating systems (Linux, Windows and macOS) and software installations via software deployment systems (Jamf, ninjaOne)

Requirements

• Completed degree in IT or computer science or comparable vocational training (e.g. IT specialist for system integration)
• More than five years of professional experience as a system administrator working with Linux operating systems (preferably Red Hat/CentOS/Rocky and Debian/Ubuntu)
• Extensive knowledge of automation and orchestration with configuration management tools (preferably Ansible) and experience with monitoring tools (Checkmk, Nagios/Icinga, ELK stack, etc.)
• Solid scripting experience with Python and Bash
• Experience operating 24/7 production environments as well as developing and implementing strategies for highly available internal services
• Fluent German skills and good command of English
