About the role
- Quality Engineer Manager overseeing testing frameworks and quality assurance at FreedomPay's global commerce platform. Leading engineering teams to ensure high-quality application deliveries in a hybrid environment.
Responsibilities
- Be a direct report to Quality Engineers in cross-functional software engineering teams. Provide direction, feedback, and career direction to engineers.
- Support the teams’ efforts to build and enhance testing frameworks to support testing the various applications of the FreedomPay system.
- Ensure quality tasks are accomplished through the engineering group’s Agile practices to deliver quality focused applications.
- Develop a deep understanding of the FreedomPay system architecture.
- Ensure the proper evolution of our testing frameworks and data.
- Foster a culture of continuous quality improvements.
- Be a positive influence with engineering peers and leaders outside of engineering: Product, Support, Project Management, etc.
- Partner with Devops and other supporting teams to implement testing as quality gates in a Continuous Testing system. Also support deployments and production monitoring.
- Partner with performance engineers to incorporate performance measurements into functional testing.
- Develop a deep understanding of the payments business
Requirements
- 3+ years of Managerial experience in software development with a focus on quality
- Reliable teammate and experienced leader
- Proven people leader that instills vision and confidence
- Proven project management experience to drive timely and quality deliveries
- Experience developing and maintaining successful test frameworks
- Experience testing a variety of applications.
- Seasoned agile practitioner who uses the agile processes to ensure quality focused tasks are incorporated
- Experience influencing peers and decision makers to implement continuous testing and other quality focused initiatives
- Understanding of infrastructure applications.
- Effective English communication skills (Listening, Speaking, Writing)
- Must pass a criminal background check
